Salt Pools

May 26, 2012- After leaving the big rock, and despite being warned by some nice fellow(heading the other direction) from Florida that we would not make it to Dead Horse Point in our current vehicle, Joey poo-pooed the nay sayers and pressed on. We came across these strange pools. You could see them from above while driving the road to DHP but can't really tell what they are. They were clear, blue, man made pools in the middle of the desert. They were fenced in and there was some kind of plastic on the bottom of them and a layer of salt collecting around the edges. We guessed they were put there as a salt collecting pool for some unknown reason. A bit of an odd site in the middle of a dirt road 50 miles out from anything.
