...and again makes three!

Then it was Leo's first birthday. His party, or rather mine started the day before. When Leo was born Joey and I both agreed that he was the last one. So, I made a joke that when he turned one I was going to throw a party for myself! Well, that's exactly what I did. I called up my sisters and my mom (sorry Heidi) and we went to Sweet Tomato's for lunch. Then on Leo's actual birthday we had family over for cake and ice cream. I should have learned my lesson by now but once again, I had an onery baby for the party. He was really good all day long. He took two good naps, had plenty to eat, and lots of play time, but for some reason when he woke up from his last nap he was not happy, NOT HAPPY! Grrr! So, he threw the cupcake overboard without eating it because he didn't like the feel of the frosting, spit the ice cream back at me and whined the whole time. Not until everyone left was he finally content to play with his new toys. Oh well. I guess next time I'll have it at 10 'o clock in the morning.(Wait, there won't be a next time!)

...And Again!!

Then it was Gus's birthday! He wanted a Bob the Blob cake and I tried my hand at homemade marshmallow fondant. It turned out super! Being that it was still only a few weeks after Max's birthday and the memory was still so fresh, he also wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese. So, off we went for some more game playing, ride riding, ticket winning, prize pickin' fun! Joey said on the way home, "Can we please, never go there again!" Don't worry, we will! I think Gus had fun, and we ended up with a cup full of tokens because we invited a family in the ward to come with us and they called after we bought the tokens for them and said they couldn't make it, so we will be going back to use those tokens. Here's some shots of the fun!

It's Birthday Time Again!

As you may know I have all three of my little boys birthdays in January and February. So, we have had lots of birthday fun around our house over the last month or so. Max went for the G.I. Joe theme. He was surprisingly easy this year. His birthday fell on a Tuesday which is the worst day to have a birthday at our house because we have to be to YM/YW on Tuesday. So, we went out to dinner and went straight to the church after. He didn't even get to blow out his candles until the next day because we ran out of time. Then Friday came around (three days after his birthday) and he came home from school with his friend Luc who sais, "Max said I could go to Chuck-E-Cheese with you for his birthday." I just laughed and said, "Ok, I guess we can go to Chuck-E-Cheese since you were such a good sport about your actual birthday being crappy!" Happy Birthday Max!
