We are the Cooper's and we are super fun and often crazy! We are Joey, Heather, Max, Carly, Gus, and Leo. We live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joey and I met in High School where he didn't like me much at first, but I was able to talk him into it after much persistence. We got married on Dec. 19th, 1998 and have been in crazy bliss ever sense!

Three Billy Goats Gruff
May 17, 2012- Max's class has been working on a Storytelling Festival. He performed his story today. He told the story on the Three Billy Goats Gruff. He went from being each of the goats to the troll and acted out each goat betting progressively fatter. The had the crowd laughing and was very engaged. It was actually quite entertaining. I only got a few pictures and you can't really tell what's going on, but you get the idea. On one side he's the goats, on the other side he's the troll and in the end the troll is falling over and the goats are getting fat eating their fill in the meadow!
May 30, 2012-Max was chosen as one of the top three in his reading class and got to retell his story in front of the whole third grade, parents, and guests. Good job, Max! He's a born storyteller.
Race for the Cure 2012
May 12, 2012-Today I went to the Race for the Cure with my mom, dad, sister Stephanie, and my niece Janae. This is a race to celebrate and to honor breast cancer survivors and victims. We formed a team to honor my mom who is a breast cancer survivor. We all walked together with her and made it a team effort. Carina was going to race with us but is having more problems with her back and so she sent her daughter, Janae, in her place. I'm not a huge cry baby about the cause but having my mom there with me this year made it so much more special. I had a definite moment where I teared up and my throat got tight at the starting line. With the thousands of people and the cheerleaders, The atmosphere is electric. I'm so grateful that she is here with us and able to celebrate with us. After the race we filled our swag bags and got our Great Harvest bread and mad my mom go to the Survivors Only corner. There was a special section roped off and she didn't really want to go and said it wasn't a big deal. We said, "Mom, it is a big deal! You survived breast cancer and they set up this booth with extra stuff just for you! Take dad and go! We will wait for you here!" She finally went in. There was a lot of the same stuff from the sponsors swag but she got special sweet bread and bagels plus a hat! The joke of the day was when we walked by the lost and found and mom said, "do you dare me to go to the lost and found and ask them if they found my boob!?!" We were laughing about that one for a while. She defiantly has a good sense of humor about it now! I guess you have to laugh about it to keep from crying. I love you, mom and I'm glad to have you around and look forward to having you here for a long time to come!

Baby Blessing & Darth Vader
April 15, 2012- My sweet friend Candace blessed her baby on April 15th and asked me to make some cakes for the luncheon. I did a chocolate, fun-fetti, and lemon cake , and peanut butter brownies. Her nephews birthday was also that day and she felt bad that he was spending his day at a baby blessing, so she had me make a Darth Vader cake for him too. What a nice auntie!

Grandma Romes's Easter
April 8, 2012- The Wilson Egg hunt was held at Carina's house this year. She expanded the hunt to her neighbors house where the 5 and under crowd got their own space to even things out a bit. The older kids got the Both yard and the eggs were hidden a bit harder too. We had a yummy ham dinner and games too. The first photo is everyone gathered in the front room for instructions before the egg hunt started.
If it looks like Gus's clothes don't fit it's because he is wearing Leo's clothes. He got up this morning and I asked him to get dressed for church. I had already gotten some clothes out for Leo and had left the room to go and get him. When I came back Gus had put on the clothes I had set out for Leo and refused to change. I told him they were 3T's and that they were his brothers clothes and too small for him. He just said they fit fine and that the surfboard shirt was his favorite. Sigh! I managed to get him to change his pants but the shirt stayed on!

Wheeler Farm
April 5, 2012- Over spring break we decided to take the kids to Wheeler Farm to see what babies were out. Steph and grandma and I went and we took Carina's kids too. Carly took most of these shots and I was quite impressed with them. They turned out pretty good. We did see quite a few babies and got to ride the tractors and feed the ducks. Janae got a few of the geese to eat the bread out of her hand. I was a little afraid for her fingers. We also saw an egg under a porch and a mama and daddy duck trying to move it. I wondered if it had rolled out from under the porch and they had a nest under there. Mama duck was really struggling to move it with just her beak. Eventually the left it behind to go get help. It was a fun way to spend the day.
Jedi cake toppers
March 15, 2012- I made these for a neighbor friends cake. His mom made the cake and asked me to make the Jedi figures. They are actually Leog Star Wars. Heidi was over for craft day so she helped out with Obi Wan. They were a bit heavy and ended up leaning on the cake instead of standing up but still looked pretty cool! Can you guess who they are?
